Case of the Week

A splendid angiomatoid (malignant) fibrous histiocytoma. As of 2013, the WHO reclassified them as angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma, but once in a while, they are aggressive. Note the lymphoid cuff and hemorrhagic spaces lacking an endothelial lining.

Case provided by Dr. Elizabeth Montgomery, Clinical Professor, Vice Chair of Faculty Development & Mentoring, Director of Surgical Pathology Fellowship Training Program, Co-Director, Pathology Reference Services, and Editor-In-Chief at Innovative Science Press.
