Bio
Dr. Voltaggio was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she obtained her college and medical degrees. After Anatomic and Clinical Pathology training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she pursued Cytopathology and Surgical Pathology fellowships at George Washington University Hospital in the District of Columbia, where she served as faculty for almost 5 years. Currently, she is associate professor in the Johns Hopkins Department of Pathology where she is the director of Clinical Gastrointestinal Pathology. In addition, Dr. Voltaggio directs the yearly GI and Liver Hopkins CME course, is an author of over 50 articles and 3 textbooks in GI pathology, and is a national and international lecturer.
