Dedifferentiated Liposarcoma

This is a dedifferentiated liposarcoma involving the colonic mesentery. Years ago, before we realized that these lesions were dedifferentiated liposarcomas, the term "inflammatory malignant fibrous histiocytoma" was used. Neutrophils were noted as a key component.

Case provided by Dr. Elizabeth Montgomery, Clinical Professor, Vice Chair of Faculty Development & Mentoring, Director of Surgical Pathology Fellowship Training Program, Co-Director, Pathology Reference Services, and Editor-In-Chief at Innovative Science Press.
