Bio 

Dr. Elizabeth Anne Montgomery is the co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Pathology Survival Guides at Innovative Science Press. Dr. Montgomery is a nationally and internationally recognized academic gastrointestinal and soft tissue pathologist. She is a professor of pathology and Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology at the University of Miami. Dr. Montgomery completed her M.D. degree at George Washington University in 1984.


Following her pathology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, she served at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology until 1992, whereupon she joined the staff at Georgetown University with joint appointments in Pathology and Gastroenterology. She was on the Johns Hopkins faculty from 1999-2020. Dr. Montgomery is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and cytopathology.


She is an author of many scholarly publications on gastrointestinal and soft tissue pathology and lectures nationally and internationally on these topics.
