Case of the Week

History – These images are from a gastric biopsy of a pigmented lesion. The patient had no history of melanoma. What is your diagnosis?


Answer – Blue nevus of gastric oxyntic mucosa.

Comment - Blue nevi are quite rare in the gastrointestinal tract mucosa, but here is an example. The immunostain is a ki-67.
